Frank Chavez Sentenced to 12 Years in State Prison for Robbery and Sexual Battery
On March 24, 2025, the Honorable Judge Soldati sentenced Frank Chavez to a total of 12 years in state prison following his conviction on multiple charges. Chavez was found guilty of one count of robbery in the second degree with a firearm (Penal Code 211 – a violent strike offense) and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery.
In addition to the prison sentence, the sexual battery conviction includes a 10-year requirement to register as a sex offender under Penal Code section 290.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to seeking justice for victims and holding violent offenders accountable,” said San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas. “This sentence sends a clear message that violence and sexual misconduct will not be tolerated in our community.”
We extend our sincere thanks to Deputy District Attorney Lesley Scharmann Lyberger for her dedicated prosecution of this case and to the Stockton Police Department Detectives for their thorough investigative work that led to this outcome.
