On March 24, 2025, the Honorable Judge Soldati sentenced Frank Chavez to a total of 12 years in state prison following his conviction on multiple charges.

The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, led by District Attorney Ron Freitas, announces that Dominque Gray, a 31-year-old Stockton resident, was sentenced to the maximum term of 11 years in state prison for one count of voluntary manslaughter (Penal Code 192(a)) by the Honorable Judge Allen Jose.

This afternoon, Adam Lopez was arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Allen Jose in Department 8B of the San Joaquin County Superior Court on multiple felony charges stemming from a violent and premeditated attack on two law enforcement officers and an attempted arson targeting the San Joaquin County Probation Office.

The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office announces that a jury has found Cyntrial Anderson guilty of the first-degree murder of Leola Johnson and arson causing great bodily injury, with an enhancement for multiple victims, Troy Vanairsdale and Jaysean Coleman. The special circumstance was found true, and Anderson is being sentenced to life without parole.

In March 2025, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers conducted a traffic stop on Jack Tone Road for a vehicle speeding. The driver, Jose Vallarta Olea, was found to be transporting narcotics after a K9 unit alerted to the presence of drugs.

On July 10, 2025, a jury in Department 6D of the San Joaquin County Superior Court convicted AngelAnn Flores of one felony charge, filing a false insurance claim.

On July 2, 2025, Antonio Guzman Tolentino was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months in state prison after entering No Contest pleas to felony drug trafficking and child endangerment charges stemming from a February traffic stop.

Leopoldo Coria, of Tracy, has been sentenced to 40 years to life in state prison following his conviction for second-degree murder.

District Attorney Ron Freitas announced today that Antonio Hernandez, 59, was sentenced to 150 years to life in prison in Department 7A of the San Joaquin County Superior Court for 35 counts of sexual abuse against his stepdaughter.

Defendant Kevin Gillett was sentenced today to two years and four months in state prison by the Honorable Judge Charlette Orcutt.

On June 20, 2025, in San Joaquin County Superior Court, Judge Garber sentenced Andres Cisneros to 22 years in state prison for multiple child molestation offenses.

San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced that Judge Lance Jacot sentenced defendant Roy West, 55, of Ripon, to 55 years to life in state prison for a multi-count child molestation case.

On June 16, 2025, Jeromie Damon was sentenced by the Honorable Judge Barerra in Department 9A to 50 years to life in state prison. The sentencing followed the denial of Damon’s motion for a new trial.

Former Law Enforcement sergeant Nicholas Bloed Sentenced to 8 Years in State Prison, Must Register as Sex Offender for Minimum of 10 Years

On June 16, 2025, Mathew Garcia was sentenced to 50 years to life in Department 7D following a jury trial for the death of his infant son, Emiliano Garcia.

The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office charged Jevon T. Jennings, a 27-year-old from Tracy, with multiple felonies following a disturbing incident at a minor’s residence. Jennings, observed on surveillance footage, tampered with a camera, cut a window screen, and entered the victim’s bedroom. The minor awoke to Jennings rummaging through her belongings and observed multiple flashes, possibly from a phone. Jennings fled after a cell phone rang. A subsequent investigation revealed Jennings possessed and distributed over 600 images of child pornography.

The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office has formally arraigned Joseph Trevor Forney, a former employee of Cal Fire, on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography. The charges stem from an investigation initiated following a cyber tip received by the Manteca Police Department from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on May 8, 2025.

On June 9, 2025, Judge Jacot sentenced Eduardo Perez to 15 years in state prison. Perez was found guilty following Jury trial on January 17, 2025, of a felony violation of Robbery, and Misdemeanor violations of PC 314.1 (Indecent Exposure) and 148.9 (False ID to Peace Officer and was sentenced to 15 years.

On June 9, 2025, Sammy Nunez was sentenced to 23 years in state prison following his conviction for felony sex offenses involving two children. He is also required to register as a lifetime sex offender.
