Daniel Scott Johnson Sentenced for Fentanyl Trafficking and Weapons Offenses
Johnson’s conviction stems from his May 13, 2025, arrest, when Stockton Police officers found him unconscious in his vehicle at a gas station on Benjamin Holt Drive. Responding to reports that Johnson had been passed out at the gas pumps for nearly two hours, authorities discovered:
• A digital scale, over $11,000 in cash, two loaded handguns, and drug paraphernalia
Johnson was arraigned on May 15, 2025, with bail set at $300,000.
District Attorney Ron Freitas stated: “This conviction sends a clear message: if you endanger our community by selling fentanyl while armed with deadly weapons, you will face serious consequences. My office will continue to work alongside our law enforcement partners to safeguard San Joaquin County from those who profit off addiction and violence.”
The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office remains committed to protecting the community and combating the spread of fentanyl and illegal weapons.
