DA Announces Arraignment of Manteca Suspect on 26 Felony Counts
San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced the formal arraignment of Craig Allen Montalvo on 26 felony counts, including lewd acts by force on a child under 14, sexual penetration of a child under 10, and possession of child sexual abuse material. Montalvo is currently being held without bail. There are five charged victims in the case, and the offenses are alleged to span a 25-year period.
The case remains actively under investigation by Detective Dave Poel of the Manteca Police Department, as authorities believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
"My office is fully committed to thoroughly reviewing the evidence in this matter and ensuring a fair, comprehensive legal process for everyone involved," said District Attorney Ron Freitas. "We appreciate the diligent, ongoing investigative work of the Manteca Police Department as we move this case forward through the court system."
